5 Things You Should Know This Week

You can't miss this weekend's Rocktoberfest at the MAPS Air Museum. We've got lots more to know in this week's "5 Things" list

1. Ever heard of the Rocktoberfest? It's hosted by and takes place at 6 p.m. Saturday at . The one-night event is the largest fundraiser for the organization (Community Betterment) and raises the most money for its yearly recipients.

2. North Canton City Council will meet at 7 p.m. tonight inside City Hall. You don't have to search for the agenda, either; it's in the PDFs section of this update.

3. North Canton City Schools Board of Education also will meet this week. You can find the board at 6 p.m. Tuesday inside the Hoover Media Center. And you can find Tuesday night's agenda accompanying this update. (The board will also have a 5 p.m. work session that day.)

4. We know there are a lot of music lovers out there, so we wanted to tip you off to a great festival happening this week — the Kent State Folk Fest. North Cantonians can travel a little ways north to listen to some folk favorites like the the Carolina Chocolate Drops on Wednesday and the Low Anthem on Saturday.

5. The second of three meetings will take place at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Walsh University's Barrette Center. .
