5 Things You Should Know About North Canton This Week

Pool passes, retirements and the State of the City and Schools. Read on to see what else is in store for the week

1. Passes for the Dogwood Swimming Pool go on sale today. Curious about the cost?

  • $8 per person
  • $6 after 5 p.m.
  • One child under 6 admitted free with each paid adult


For North Canton residents:

  • $65 single
  • $160 family of up to four and $25 for each additional family member
  • $100 buddy pass
  • $20 seniors (62 years and older)

North Canton Chamber President Doug Lane said the Chamber has sponsored the mayor’s State of the City address for several years. “Last year we added a well-received State of the Schools presentation. Combining the two events on one evening gives the community a more convenient opportunity to receive valuable information about both of these important entities,” Lane said in a news statement.

3. will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the . summed the event up best in : “North Canton brings restaurants and vendors from all over North Canton and invites the community to mingle, meet new people, see old faces and sample some delicious food from our local restaurants.”

4. Pat Yagielski, dispatcher, will celebrate her retirement at 1 p.m. Friday in North Canton City Hall. We’ll be there to wish her off; will you?
