5 Things You Should Know About North Canton This Week

Walsh University's production of 'Vianney,' Hoover High School's first summa cum laude graduate night and more

1. The North Canton City Schools Board of Education will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Hoover High Media Center. On the agenda is the resignation for retirement of elementary Principal Barbara Jones, effective July 1, among other items. View the whole agenda in the PDFs portion of this story.

The Hoover Sideliners Summa Honors Celebration replaces the former Top 25 Banquet that took place the last 18 years. Those honored this year include 43 Hoover seniors who will graduate summa cum laude with a grade-point average of 4.325 or higher. Each student in turn recognizes up to two adults who have had a positive impact.
