Mother's Day Celebrations, Plus Story Time and Picnic at the Park, coming to Stark County District Library

Mother's Day Celebrations, Plus Story Time and Picnic at the Park, and children's author Rosemary Wells coming to Stark County District Library

Did you know the Stark County District Library is More Than Books? Each month, Stark County District Library offers hundreds of enriching, enlightening, and entertaining programs for all ages of our community. There are Family Programs, Book Groups, Knitting Groups, Children’s Story Times, Computer and Technology Classes, author visits, and much more. To view and search for these events, you can now use the library’s upgraded events calendar. The new calendar is integrated with our search catalog, so when you search for books and other materials, you’ll also see library programs that relate to the subject you’re searching as well. So, a search for gardening books will also reveal the library’s Gardening Programs, and so on. The new calendar also affords you the option of registering for a program online with your library card. You can even view and manage programs you’ve registered for with your online library account—just as you can with the books you’ve checked out, or items you’ve got on hold. The new calendar is more user-friendly, with a couple of different views and easy ways to search, so take a look and find something that inspires you today.

As always, each program listed below is linked to the Stark County District Library Events calendar, where you'll get more information about the program (such as the time the event is offered), and have the opportunity to register online or by phone to attend.

North Branch’s Classic Lit Book Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month—this Wednesday they’ll be talking about Emily Bronte’s powerful masterpiece, Wuthering Heights. Upcoming sessions in June and July will feature the monumental David Copperfield, by Charles Dickens. Classic Lit Book Club is a great way to engage with some of the great works of literature, enjoy thought provoking discussions, and enjoy the company of interesting people.
