Love The Children Ministries - 5th Annual school Supply Give Away
Heather Conley founded Love The Children Ministries in 2004 after an English Literature paper brought her to this conclusion: pity is when you feel sorry for someone, compassion is when you feel sorry with someone and it compels you to act. Since then, this group has served thousands of children in the Canton area. This past Saturday, August 11th, LTCM had their 5th Annual School Supply Give Away. They partenered with the staff at Dueber Elemenary School and community volunteers to pass out grade specific supplies. An ice cream sundae table and DJ also created a fun atmosphere. Heather had this to say about the event,
"We are honored to partner with Dueber Elementary school in this way. As a teacher, I understand the burden a school supply list can be on a family and the burden on a teacher if the supplies are not brought in by the student. LTCM is all about standing in the gap for these families, and loving the adults by loving the children. Our mission is to transform the city of Canton through the radical love of Christ one child at a time."
