Signatures Validated by Stark County BOE to Place Charter Amendment on Ballot

Shown above is a copy of a letter from the Stark County Board of Elections to the City of North Canton certifying the validity and sufficiency of signatures needed to place a Charter Amendment on the ballot to make the office of Mayor in North Canton a full-time position.

As you can see, 952 of the 973 signatures collected were validated, well in excess of the 746 signatures needed to place the issue on the ballot for voters on November 5, 2013.

I would like to thank the committee (Chuck Osborne, George Daniluk, Larry Tripp, Hillary Mueller, Rita Palmer) for their help as well as all the signers of the petition for actively participating in the democratic process that the laws of Ohio and the Ohio Constitution afford all of us.
