WATCH: City Bids Farewell to Tom Chufar

City officials, friends and coworkers of Chufar — director of utilities, services and recreation — gathered in North Canton City Hall Friday to honor his service to the city before he retired that week

Tom Chufar kept his goodbye speech short and sweet Friday when he addressed friends, coworkers and city officials inside North Canton City Hall.

Chufar — director of utilities, service and recreation — retired this past week from the position he's held for nearly four years. (He's also worked in other capacities in the city.)

"I'm just greatly appreciative. Truly," Chufar said. "Every day is a new challenge for everybody and let's just get out and enjoy it."
