Unemployment Rate Increases in Stark County
Stark County isn't the only one seeing an increase — all 88 counties saw a higher unemployment rate in January.
Out of 88 Ohio counties, Stark County lands at No. 50 for its unemployment rate in January this year.
In January 2013, the unemployment rate was 8.7 percent. That is an increase from the 6.7 percent figure in December. Last year in January, the rate was 8.9 percent.
The highest unemployment rate is 15.3 percent in Pike County. Mercer County boasts the lowest figure at 5.3 percent, according to this chart.
