Jason Sadler Proves Wearing Your Company's T-Shirt is a Full-Time Job

Sadler, founder of the social media advertising agency I Wear Your Shirt, comes to North Canton Thursday as part of the Canton Ad Federation's Power Professional Series

Today, Jason Sadler looks like a stunning manly man in his ManMade undershirt. (Hey, that’s just what he told us on his website.)

You can also find him on that website — iwearyourshirt.com  — touting the benefits of the crewneck and V-neck undershirts in an off-the-wall YouTube video.

It’s certainly an interesting job Sadler has — heading a team of five young creative minds who get paid to wear companies’ T-shirts and produce online content that they can push out to their audience through social media.

“The whole thing is, we’re trying to be entertainers and educators for these companies,” said Sadler, founder of I Wear Your Shirt. “We want people to laugh, and we want them to have fun, but I want these companies to get their names out there.”

to share the story of how he turned a one-man marketing company into a five-member team that works with more than 1,000 companies throughout the country. He’ll speak at 6:30 p.m. that day as part of the Canton Ad Federation’s Power Professional Series.

Tickets are $15 for CAF members, $20 for non-members and $10 for students. Reserve your tickets by emailing events@cantonadfed.org. Find additional event details, online ticket ordering options and membership benefits at www.cantonadfed.org.

Sadler has heralded the products of Nissan, Pizza Hut, Starbucks and other big-name companies. He’s also let the job take him in some directions that are a little less manly than ManMade undershirts, like when he promoted Mama Knows Breast: A Beginner’s Guide to Breastfeeding. Here's that YouTube video. He also was hired by The House of Bachelorette, a bachelorette party supply store, and incorporated a feather boa, tiara and women’s T-shirt (an XL) into his ensemble. You'll want to watch that YouTube video, too.

He’s also been seen in videos picking up his dog’s droppings with Mutt Mitt environmentally friendly dog poop bags.

Here’s how I Wear Your Shirt works: Each teammate’s calendar is “for sale” for as little as $1 or as much as $365. Jan. 1 is $1, Jan. 2 is $2 and so on. Dec. 31 would be $365. Companies can choose to hire more than one team member, too. Sadler said his calendar is more expensive at double that price because of his experience with the company.

Sadler said I Wear Your Shirt isn't always the easiest concept for people to grasp, but if it was, why would people care?

"It always takes people a minute to get it," he said. "It's like, 'Am I doing something that's not simple enough to explain to people?' Then I have to remember I'm just doing something that's really different.

"If it was ordinary, they would pass it by."

Sadler said he's looking forward to telling his story of how he started I Wear Your Shirt when he visits North Canton Thursday.

"Because it's a from-nothing-to-something story," he said. "If I want to wear T-shirts for a living, you can pretty much do anything."
