has managed to bring together pottery, Vera Bradley and a ladies night out — all in one event that raises money for breast cancer research.

The make-your-own-pottery studio invites local women to take part in food and refreshments (including pizza from ), give-aways and a silent auction to benefit the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer. The event takes place from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. Saturday and is adults only (participants may bring their own wine).

To attend, call the studio at 330-497-6445 make reservation. It's a $5 non-refundable deposit that comes off $30 total.

Glazed & Amused owner Jessica Johnston said it’s the second year the North Canton pottery studio has participated in the nationwide fundraiser.

“I thought, ‘What good is it if you can't give back a little bit?’” Johnston said. “That's why we decided to do it in North Canton.”

Thirty percent of sales that night will go toward the foundation.

The participants will receive a goodie bag that contains one silent auction ticket to win donated items from local businesses and a Vera Bradley bag and coin purse. They also can purchase more silent auction tickets. All the money from the silent auction goes toward the foundation.

The studio hosts a girls night out event every other month, Johnston said. And because the studio serves many women, Johnston knew this would be a great event for their customers.

“We wanted to support that cause because we know everyone knows someone who’s been affected by cancer of some kind,” she said.
