BabyCakes Bake Shoppe Opens Its Doors To North Canton

Ever wanted a cupcake filled with peanut butter mousse, topped with peanut butter cream and finished with a Reese cup?

BabyCakes Bake Shoppe -- which held its grand opening June 29 -- offers just that and many more freshly-baked flavor combinations at its South Main Street location. 

The flavors change daily, and hungry customers have 10 to 12 kinds of cupcakes to choose from, said clerk Rachel Coblentz.

Gourmet fillings include: fresh fruit, vanilla butter cream, chocolate ganache, coconut cream and gooey caramel, plus many more. 

The store also features an eat-in section, which doubles as a party room for small bridal parties or kids' birthdays, said owner Natasha Gotto. 

"We're very excited to have our second location in North Canton," said Gotto, of Canton. "We have been open for only two weeks, and have felt very welcomed by the surrounding businesses and residents."

The original BabyCakes opened in Hartville in 2011 and shares both spaces with One Vintage Lane—a trendy, repurposed furniture and accessories boutique.

BabyCakes Bake Shoppe, located at 616 South Main St., is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and is closed on Sundays and Mondays.
