Anastasiades Hosts Annual All-You-Can-Eat Chocolate Night

The local chocolate shop welcomes 500 people to its two-day event this month

Here's a phrase you probably don't hear often: all-you-can-eat chocolate.

But it's something is pretty familiar with. The local chocolate shop will invite 500 people inside this month as it hosts its fifth annual All-You-Can-Eat Chocolate Night.

The event is a full hour and a half of chocolate sampling, but, according to co-owner Larry Anastas, there's much, much more in store.

"There's music playing, people mingling around ... it's kind of just a fun night to have some chocolates and to socialize."

Anastas said the event has grown in popularity throughout the years, but they do cap ticket sales at 500, so if you still need a ticket you better hurry.

"It's been very successful," he said. "Half the people who come are our current customers, and half are usually new customers, people who had never heard of us."

Anastas said the event also kicks off "chocolate season" for Anastasiades Exclusive Chocolates because Sweetest Day takes place in October. It's also a good chance to try out some new recipes on an eager audience.

North Canton Patch asked Anastas for a hint at what was new treats are in store for the all-you-can-eat event.

"There's always one that's kind of spicy and that has a kick to it," he said, careful not to give too much away. "And this year we'll probably have something related to the fall."

This event is so fun. They have all their best out to try, plus some different fun things. Last year they had chocolate dipped green beans (and they were fantastic!), celery with peanut butter dipped in chocolate, and several kinds of fruit you don't usually see. I remember a chili pepper truffle also that was really tasty. Definitely not an event you want to miss!
