National Hunger Awareness Month Kick-off Reception

Stark County Hunger Task Force (SCHTF) explores the scope of the local fight against hunger in a kick-off reception and light luncheon Nov. 1 to mark National Hunger Awareness Month.

Presented in four sessions, each featuring a different keynote speaker and honoring a different outstanding local supporter, the event begins at 11 a.m. in half-hour segments through 12:30 p.m.

Due to limited seating reservations are suggested for each of the four sessions: 11 -11:30 a.m.  / 11:30 a.m. - Noon  / Noon - 12:30 p.m.  /  12:30 – 1 p.m. RSVP by Oct. 31 at the SCHTF Website (www.starkhunger.org) or by calling 330-455-6667.

Honorees for 2011 include Dr. Michael Linz, Hunger Fighter of the Year; Madison Weber, Youth Hunger Fighter of the Year; Senior Employment Center, Community Partner of the Year, and Canton Calvary Mission, Pantry of the Year.
