Get Out: Bowling Bonanza, CD Release Party and More

Stop by Park Centre Lanes this weekend to help a local mothers' group raise money, or check out some new music around North Canton

1. SPEND A FRIDAY OR SATURDAY NIGHT AT THE BARREL ROOM
Where/When: , 7901 N. Cleveland Ave., North Canton; 9 p.m.-midnight Friday and Saturday
Why Go: The Ryan Humbert Band performs Friday night and leaves the next day for Nashville, where they’ll record their new CD. Don’t you want to come and wish them luck? As for Saturday, your favorite (and youngest) blues band, , performs. Stop in one night or both for an awesome time.

2. WOMACK FAMILY BAND AT MUGGSWIGZ
Where/When: Muggswigz, 137 Walnut Ave. NE, Canton; 9-11 p.m. Friday
Why Go: Not into the bar scene this weekend? Try this Canton coffee shop if caffeine is more your thing. You’ll still get the live music, but just a little different atmosphere.
Pricing: $4 suggested cover

3. Where/When: , 7200 Whipple Ave. NW, North Canton; 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Sunday
Why Go: For those of you whose weekends don’t start until Sunday night, this CD release party is for you. It features all these bands — are you ready? — Dezz the Reason, Canary, Grip Squad and Josh Richards.
Pricing: $3-$5

Where/When: Massillon Museum, 121 Lincoln Way E., Massillon; Friday and Saturday 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m.-5 p.m.
Why Go: This is the last weekend to see photography from digital photography students inside the Massillon Museum. The students juxtapose their photographs with those of a famous artist. Stop by and see how the photos line up!

5. FOURTH ANNUAL SCOTCH DOUBLES BOWLING BONANZA FUNDRAISER
Where/When: Park Centre Lanes, 7313 Whipple Ave. NW, North Canton; 7 p.m.-11 p.m. Saturday
Why Go: Help out the Canton Mothers of Multiples Club by bowling (hey, that’s fun anyway) and taking part in some of the raffles going on that night.
Pricing: $30 for a pair to bowl, which includes three games, shoes and food. Reservations are recommended. Contact any club member.
