Walsh University’s Artists and Lecturers Series

Walsh University’s Artists and Lecturers Series will present Laura MacKenzie and Gary Rue in concert. The MacKenzie and Rue performances are rooted in tradition, presenting a rich tapestry of Celtic and other folk music.

MacKenzie plays an array of wind-powered instruments, including flutes, whistles, concertina, gemshorn, unusual bagpipes both bellowed and blown, and voice. Rue has a full-throated, melodic guitar style and vocal contributions.
