Smooth Jazz Event

The Timken Instrumental Music Association (TIMA) is hosting a benefit concert to raise funds for the purchase of new uniforms for the Timken Trojan High School Band.  The band's current uniforms are over 18 years old and while they have served the students over the years, they are no longer able to be altered and must be replaced.  All concert proceeds will go to the band uniform fund.  The concert will take place in the Timken High School Auditorium on Saturday, March 17th - doors open at 6:00 pm, concert begins at 7:00 pm.  Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15.00 at Primo's Restaurant, The Irish Exchange and the Timken Athletic Office.  Tickets can be purchased at the door for $18.00.

The "Tony Watson Quartet" will open the Smooth Jazz event featuring Tony Watson Sr. and Tony Watson Jr. with Walter Barnes on bass and Alphonso McDuffie on keyboards.  Following is "Expressions n Jazz" featuring Dennis Milan, Tony Reynolds, Kevin Mitchell, Pervis Alford and Ben Powers.  Timken Band Director, Al Flowers will sit in with "Expressions n Jazz".
