Cheap Date: First Night Akron

For those who believe it's never too cold for fireworks, those who are looking for a different way to ring in the New Year, and for those who love the arts

Ever rung in the new year at a visual and performing arts festival? Well, why not try it this year?

Now in its 16th year, First Night Akron is a family-friendly way to celebrate the ending of one year and beginning of another. Plus ... Fireworks.

Making appearances at this year's celebration are (one of our favorite local musical artists) Ashley Brooke Toussant, Brass Band of the Western Reserve, Constellations Dance Co., Hard Day's Night Beatles Tribute and lots more.
