With the help of their parents, they made and bagged the sweet treats. For one week in February, the boys sold it before school and collected $289.56, which they donated to the WKDD radiothon for Akron’s Children Hospital.

Luke and his mom made a batch of treats, while Zach helped to sell the treats before school. All of the third-graders at Greentown Elementary were involved in decorating and attaching labels for the treat.

“I am very proud of the boys for being wonderful examples of good citizens at Greentown and for North Canton,” Farrah said. “They were eager to help out others in need.”

“That’s such an important character trait to have and it’s nice to show others that you care, and these boys did it in their own special way."
