North Canton's Fourth of July Tradition to Continue
Remember the story on the North Canton Jaycees and how they needed $3,000 for the annual North Canton Fourth of July firework's display? Well, here's an update – and it's good news.
Thanks to the support of the community and several sponsors, a North Canton tradition continues.
The North Canton Jaycees' Fourth of July celebration in the park with fireworks will continue thanks to the generous support of companies, individuals and families who joined the Jaycees in raising money to cover the cost of the fireworks.
The co-sponsors include: Humbert Sanitary Service, Thomas D.D.S., and . Other sponsors include: Tam O’Shanter Golf Course and individuals and families in North Canton. has also stepped forward and for every newly registered Fishers Rewards' Customer that brings a sponsorship form (found at www.northcantonjaycees.org) to the North Canton Fishers by May 15, Fishers will donate to the fireworks display.

“We are exploring new ways of raising the money to put on this event in the future so we don’t have to be in limbo-mode each year," Jaycee Chairwoman Jennifer Reider said. "We are grateful it worked out this year, but we want the event to sustain itself."
The Fourth of July celebration starts off with a parade at 10:30 a.m. at North Canton Memorial Stadium and heads west to Main Street. The celebration in the park begins at 6 p.m. in the same area. There will be food vendors and musical entertainment. The event ends at dusk with the American Fireworks display.
