Brandon's excited to work with Patch because he's "always loved local communities and being involved with the local community. Patch, at its core, is its own local community."

Although Patch has only been around for a few months in Northeast Ohio, "I realized early on, this wasn’t just a job . . .  it’s a passion . . . more of a lifestyle."

If you start doing business with Brandon, you'll be surprised that he'll want to know your birthday. It's an added touch that you won't get with most sales employees.

"I ask so that I have it to remind me to stay in touch with clients at least once a year. So, every person I work with, I get their birthday — maybe I'll even get invited to some birthday parties," he joked.

Brandon's birthday is Sept. 8, if you feel like returning the birthday greeting.

He added that not only is it a reminder to keep in touch with clients, but it reaches out to people. "It's more personal," he said.

"I'm excited to start working with more people on a hyper-local level," Brandon said. "Patch's goals are to really change the way communities receive their news and the way businesses can market to the community."
