Grab & Go Kids Planner: Spring Break Ideas Continue

Spring break is in full swing, but there still is time to squeeze in some fun

Our Grab & Go Kids Planner highlights five attractions and events in the area for families to take part in each week.

We are in the midst of spring break. Unfortunately, the temperatures still are too cold for the kids to run around outside all day. Below, however, are five suggestions to keep you and your youngsters busy and laughing during the next couple of days.

There's also time to take a little spring get-away. The Dolley Madison House in Brewster is offering a family "overnighter" to celebrate Easter early this weekend and during two more weekends in April, and the price is right!

FAMILY BEST BETS OF THE WEEK

1. Dolley Madison House Easter Overnighter

When/Where: 7 p.m. Friday to 11 a.m. Saturday at the Dolley Madison House, 360 Wabash Ave. N, Brewster, located at the bottom of Stark County. If you can’t go this weekend, the Easter Overnighter is taking place again April 8-9 and April 15-16.

Why Go: Take a short drive and enjoy an overnight, out-of-town event with your family to celebrate the upcoming Easter holiday. At 7 p.m. Friday, families will take part in cookie decorating and story time and watch a movie. At 9 a.m. Saturday, children will enjoy breakfast with the Easter Bunny. At 9:30 a.m., kids can get their faces painted and make a craft. The morning wraps up with an Easter egg hunt at 10:30 a.m.

Adult breakfast is included and each child’s breakfast is $4.99. To make a reservation, call 330-791-3212. Book quickly, however, because rooms are filling up quickly.

2. Spring Break Stories and Crafts
