Get Out: Mayor's Fishing Rodeo, Golf Scramble and More

Looking for something to do between Friday and Sunday? We've got five things, from fishing to golfing and art-perusing.

1. GRADUATION
Where/When: Canton Memorial Civic Center, 1101 Market Ave. N., Canton; 2 p.m. Sunday
Why Go: Know any Hoover High School grads this year? Support them as they grab their diplomas and toss their caps Sunday at their commencement ceremony.

Where/When: Price Park, 1000 W. Maple St., North Canton; Registration is from 8-9 a.m. Saturday
Why Go: Get your kids outside and doing something this weekend, and watch their faces light up as they catch "the big one" at the end of their line!

Where/When: CKP Heating and Cooling, 555 N. Main St., North Canton; 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday
Why Go: Door prizes, food and drinks, all on the house. But it's not all about the amenities. Stop by and check out CKP Heating and Cooling's new digs.

Where/When: ; 9 a.m.-noon Friday
Why Go: OK, so it's not technically the weekend yet, but it's still Friday, so that's close enough. Right? This golf scramble already has taken its registration, but stop by to show your support for Wishes Can Happen and the wish kid who will benefit from the event — Andrew Heck (and watch for him in Friday's Whiz Kid feature).

5. CANTON FIRST FRIDAY
Where/When: Canton Arts District; 6-10 p.m. Friday
Why Go: With possibly more artwork than you can handle, Canton First Friday is a fantastic event for those who want to get out of North Canton for the night without going far.
