NONIMATIONS BEING SOUGHT FOR THE 2014 ATHENA LEADERSHIP AWARD®

Women’s Impact Inc. is now accepting nominations for one greater Stark County’s most prestigious awards; The ATHENA Leadership Award®.  The nominees and recipients will be honored at the third annual Greater Stark County Athena International Award event being held the evening of March 20, 2014 at Kent State Stark University Center. We are currently accepting nominations for ATHENA Leadership Award® finalists. Nomination forms can be downloaded at www.womensimpactinc.com. The deadline for submission is October 18, 2013.

The ATHENA Leadership Award® is presented to individuals who have attained and embody the highest level of professional excellence in their business or profession and devote time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community. But the one thing that sets this award apart from other professional women awards is the Athena puts great emphasis on a third component - the nominee must actively and have significantly have assisted, or are assisting, other women in realizing their full leadership potential.

The ATHENA Leadership Award Program is the signature event of Women’s Impact Inc., a newly formed network of professionally-minded women who seek ways to advance women in leadership opportunities and foster an atmosphere that leverages the unique capabilities and perspectives of professional women in the greater Stark County region. The ATHENA International Awards® are administered by a non-profit women’s leadership organization, in partnership with licensed host organizations and sponsors.  Over 6000 awards have been presented in over 500 communities in the United States and around the world since the programs’ inception in 1982.  Nominations are sought throughout the community and across professional sectors, and the recipient is selected by a diverse group of local community leaders based on the criteria above.
