What to Blog About?

Metaphysics or music — you decide.

I agreed to write a blog for North Canton Patch. Until last week, I had never even read a blog.  And until 9 a.m. Wednesday morning, I had no idea what I was going to write about.   But, believing that is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come, I am inspired nonetheless.  I have narrowed it down to two topics: Music or Metaphysics. If you read my bio you will find out that these two things are the core of my life (next to my family and pizza of course).

I have decided to ask Patch readers what they would rather read a blog about.

If you choose music, I will review many obscure and local bands that I feel that people would fall in love with if they only had a chance to hear them.  I will also make some statements about the commercial music scene and pop culture that you may or may not agree with.

If you choose metaphysics I will highlight many of the audiobooks that I have listened to.  This stuff can get pretty deep. I will be talking largely about The Law of Attraction and The Universal Mind. These theories state that whatever you think about, you attract into your life and that we are all connected to One Universal Mind (aka God, consciencesness, or whatever you want to call it). I'll quote teachers such as Paramahansa Yogananda, the Buddha, Jesus Christ, Rumi, Patanjali, Sri Guruji and many others.  I will be talking about manifesting your reality and paradigm shifts but I will break these subjects down so they can be helpful and be put into practical everyday use.

I'm definitely leaning towards the latter of the two, but please keep in mind that this stuff can get pretty weird and you'll have to have an open mind about reality in general.  Either way, my intent is to help people, whether it be local bands and  music lovers or anyone seeking enlightenment.  Please let me know what you guys want to read about and maybe my next blog will have a concrete topic.

As for tonight, I'll be enjoying the Dredg show at the Grog Shop.  You should be there.
