The Hoover Symphonic Band will be sharing the stage with the University of Akron Concert Band during the annual Ohio Band Director’s Conference. The Hoover band was one of two high school bands invited to perform at the conference. They will be performing four songs, with one of the songs being written by featured composer Robert Sheldon. Sheldon will direct the Hoover band when they perform his music.
The concert will be held at the Quaker Square Inn Ballroom at the University of Akron. It is free of charge and begins at 8pm. The last time the Hoover band performed at this event was 2003.
