"Hairspray" delights audiences by sweeping them away to the 1960's in Baltimore. The 50's are out-- and change is in the air.  Loveable, plus-sized heroine Tracy Turnblad has a passion for dancing and wins a spot on the local TV dance program, "The Corny Collins Show." Overnight, she finds herself transformed from outsider to teen celebrity.  Can a larger-than-life adolescent manage to vanquish the program's reigning princess, integrate a television show and find true love (singing and dancing, all the while, of course!) all without mussing her hair? Join us and find out.  Featuring an upbeat score and the memorable numbers "Good Morning Baltimore" and "You Can't Stop the Beat," this mainstage musical will delight all audiences!

The show runs September 9 through October 2, 2011, Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. at The Players Guild Theatre, located in the Cultural Center for the Arts, Canton, Ohio.
