Hi, I'm Christina. I'm the community relations manager for the North Canton Public Library.

Star Wars, Chef Sarah, Book Discussions, Kindergarten Club, Joe the Coupon Guy and more at the North Canton Public Library!

The North Canton Public Library is bringing a full line-up or programming to the community this fall. A Froggy Party featuring stories, activities and crafts celebrating Jonathan London’s Froggy, launches programming for children on September 15, 2012.  Programs for adults begin Tuesday, September 4, 2012 with the kick-off of the Walsh University Wellness Series, a three-part series offering education regarding healthy choices and disease management.

The library’s popular book clubs continue with a variety of highlighted genres. It is important to us that we offer a diverse programming schedule with something for everyone each season. This fall, we’re excited to launch a new book group aimed at young professionals. The group will read books centered around various social issues, and will meet to discuss the books off-site at venues such as the Main Street Grille and The Barrel Room Wine and Beer Bar. Other book discussion groups include “Readable History,” “Tuesday Night Thrillers,” and “Unforgettable Mysteries.”

Some of the library’s most popular presenters will be back in the coming months. Chef Sarah will be here with her program “All About Tomatoes,” Joe the Coupon Guy will return in November, and everyone’s favorite rockin’ Halloween band, the Graveyard Rockers, will be back late in October.

Popular events for children are sure to include October’s Star Wars program and the kindergarten club, in which kindergarten students gather after school with their caregivers once each month for enrichment activities and fun.

Teens are invited to join us for a Murder Mystery Masquerade party, a Polish Holiday Celebration, our Teen Writers Group and more.

Registration is currently open for fall art classes. Classes begin the week of September 17th and will end the week of November 5th. All art class registration is completed through the library website.

Complete lists of fall programs for adults and children are available on our website.

Hope to see you at the library soon!
