The Hoover High Viking baseball team took an early lead and finished strong with a 11-3 win over the visiting GlenOak Golden Eagles.   A strong pitching performance by Patch contributor Anne Williams' son Brandon Williams kept the Eagles scoreless late into the game.

The senior boys were lead onto the field before the game by thier parents.  Each student had written a list of memories and thank yous for the game announcer to read.  Some of the thank yous, usually to a girlfriend, drew cheers from the Hoover underclassmen in the dugout.

Hoover is currently 18-8 and play tomorrow night in Thurman Munson Stadium in a OHSAA district Semifinal game against Lake at 5pm.
