Sam Anastas, Co-owner of Anastasiades Chocolates on Wise Avenue, shows North Canton patch Editor Morgan Day what became her favorite treat of the night called "ChocoLava Truffles". Each little truffle has a kick of spicy heat!
While Morgan headed off to talk to the shop owners, I decided to make my own chocolate covered oreo from the chocolate fountain. Editor Day caught me just before I scarfed the treat with one bite!
Editor Day samples a Sea Salt Truffle, an interesting mix of sweet and salty.
Micheal John (at left), friends of the shop's owners, brought a friend along to entertain the crowds during the tastings.

Anastasiades Exclusive Chocolates hosted its fifth annual "All you can eat chocolate" fundraiser over the weekend. They sold tickets in advance for two days of chocolate tastings, with $1 of each ticket sold benefiting the Big Brother/Big Sister program, of which co-owner Sam Anastas is involved in. They also sold bottles of water (to wash down each chocolately flavor) to benefit the Akron Children's Hospital.

Customers were directed inside the store to rows of tables filled with trays of normal Anastasiades fare along with special items that were made specifically for the weekend. Some of these items were teased ahead of time, described as "one that's kind of spicy and that has a kick to it" and "something related to the fall" in a recent North Canton Patch article.

Check out the photo gallery for the spicy one. We were too late to sample the later item, which was chocolate-covered pumpkin pie bites!

And if you've got your own photos from the event, make sure to add them to the gallery!
