North Canton Patch: Tell me a little bit about your character and how they fit into the movie.

Huffman: I’m playing Bobby Burkett. He’s the quarterback for St. Thomas and he’s pretty much just this kid who right now in his life he’s not so sure if he wants to keep playing football. You watch him progress; he’s just finding his way. He’s an underdog and he’s watching his dad, who’s having a lot of trouble with his heater (company). He’s just your typical American young guy who’s fighting his way to do the right thing.

North Canton Patch: What attracted you to this role?

Huffman: Because I’m from Indiana and I'm going back to the Midwest and trying to do something good in the Midwest and make a film in the Midwest. I really wanted to do that. Every character I do I try to find myself a little bit more. I’ve had a lot of conflict with where I’m from and who I am, so I’m at the point where this character is going to put me on the straight and narrow, hopefully.

North Canton Patch: How’s filming going so far?

Huffman: It's going fantastic. It's one of the quickest-moving sets I've ever worked on because it's full of Midwesterners. ... Everyone is unbelievable. It's just a great environment and the cast and crew are unbelievable. Everyone is kicking butt, and we're all damn good. It's good to be a damn good movie, I can promise you that.

North Canton Patch: Because North Canton and Stark County is our home, I think people will be curious to know how you guys are spending your down time.

Huffman: The Strip, we’re real close to that. I’ve tried every single restaurant in there. I like in the morning.
