not the blimp. I saw tthe same thing on the 4th of july at the butler county fair in PA. I think they were home made airships. Like a plastic trash bag with a candle in it. They were silent orange globes that moved very slow and only seemed to be a couple of feet across.

I think what this may be is a Sky Lantern.

Sky Lanterns (Khoom Fay, Khom Loy, Fire-Balloons, in the media known as UFO shaped Balloons) are traditionally made of oiled rice paper on a bamboo frame that contains a waxy fuel cell. These days, Sky Lanterns are made from Mulberry paper, as it is a lot more versatile and readily available. When a Sky Lantern is lit, the heat generated from the fuel cell creates lift (like a hot air balloon), and causes the lantern to rise into the sky. The Sky Lantern and its fuel cell, comes in many colours and sizes. Flight time is dependant on lantern size, weather conditions and legal altitude restrictions, which vary in some countries. No. There's something going on here. I thought I was crazy, until reading this. About 3 years ago, I was coming home at 3:30 or so in the morning. I used to work third shift in a 24 hour call center down in North Canton. One night, I'm just cruising home towards Akron, and I see something that resembled the lights on a helicopter. Three lights in a triangular formation not moving fast enough to be a plane. However, none of these lights were blinking, and they were a weird orangish color. It's hard to explain what they looked like--the lights themselves. But they were very, I don't know....they didn't have a glare or anything to them, and the lights appeared to be almost fiber optic in their appearance. And there was no headlight or spotlight. Only the three on the bottom. I rolled down my window, and slowed down (being the only person on the express way).....no noise. None. And this thing was BIG. I could see the outline of the craft (whatever it was). And it was big, long and triangular, and it was blocking out the stars. I thought it might've been my imagination, seeing as how I was so close to the airport. But since then, I've been going over it repeatedly. It was NOT an airplane going in to Akron-Canton. It was NOT a blimp. Especially not at that hour. And it was NOT a helicopter. I don't know what I saw, but it was not anything I've ever seen before, nor since.

They are part of a fireworks display. I just saw them in Florida. They look like laterns. In the sky they are red with an orange glow inside. They start out in the sky looking small and when they come down they look like a pink trash bags. Sorry no UFO's

My husband and I saw the orange floating globes from the track at Kent State Stark the night of the Jackson Community Festival fireworks. I reported them to MUFON but we all thought they might possibly be Chinese lanterns, if not UFOs. I also called a Jackson policeman that night to ask about them but at that time, no one else had reported anything yet.

Did anyone else see the four orange colored objects tonight??? North Canton...55th Street @10:15PM...Path from East to North...never viewed anything like this...
