A tree fell onto a car at the intersection of South Main Street and Everhard Road before 6:54 p.m. Friday, shutting down Everhard between South Main Street and Westfield Avenue SW.
The fallen tree also knocked down power lines. At 7 p.m., North Canton police and fire officials were tending to the motorists, who were still inside the car. Police say they were awaiting the arrival of AEP to ensure the power was off before the occupants leave the car.
No injuries were reported.
