Water is high at Market Avenue, near the Route 43 split.

It’s not so easy getting around in some parts of North Canton today, as overnight rains caused flooding throughout the area.

Here are some high-water areas we scoped out today, although flooding has affected traffic at only some sites.

  • Price Park, 1000 W. Maple St. — We’ve heard a few homes in this area also were flooded, and the whole park is covered with water.
  • Area near Clear Channel, 7755 Freedom Ave. NW — The road is flooded and the only vehicles traveling through were pickup truck and larger trucks.
  • Market Avenue, just north of the 43 split — Check out the gallery and see a valley under water. Market Avenue is closed off near Mount Pleasant Street.

Stark County is under a flood warning until 9 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.

Expect tonight’s winds to reach between 5 and 11 miles per hour. Tomorrow’s expected to be sunny, with a high near 44.
