Redbox screen smashed
Someone smashed the screen of a Redbox movie dispenser in the 6400 block of North Market Avenue — and caused $700 in damages — between 10:31 p.m. Jan. 29 and 5:04 p.m. Jan. 30.
Happy New Year! Man's truck stolen at NYE party
A man told police someone stole his 2001 Ford truck while he had slipped away from a New Year's Eve party in the 300 block of Maple Street. The man said he left the party at 1 a.m. Jan. 1 and returned to the party at 3:30 a.m. to find his truck missing. He had left the spare key in the center console while the doors were unlocked.
Big-screen TV swiped from home
A 65-inch Samsung TV valued at $2,300 was stolen from a home in the 800 block of Everhard Road SW between 4:45 p.m. Jan. 14 and 5:30 p.m. Jan. 21.
Plow truck driver "driving like a maniac"
A motorist called North Canton police and told dispatchers a man driving a plow truck was "driving like a maniac" about 8 p.m. Feb. 4. The plow truck was out of site by the time the call ended, according to the call for service log at the North Canton Police Department.
Police cruiser hit by plow truck
A police officer driving in the 200 block of South Main Street reported to dispatchers his cruiser was struck by a plow truck just before 2 a.m. Feb. 6. Police advised the Stark County Sheriff's Office to handle the report.
Thousands of dollars in jewelry stolen from home
A resident in the 100 block of Hallum Street SW reported $4,600 in necklaces, rings and earrings stolen from her home between midnight Nov. 2 and 9:32 p.m. Dec. 23.
