The driver of a car that slammed into the back of a North Canton City Schools bus this morning was taken to an area hospital, according to the Canton Repository.

The newspaper reported online that no children were on the bus when the crash with the Chevrolet Monte Carlo occurred at Everhard Road NW, east of Whipple Avenue NW, by the railroad tracks. The bus driver also was not injured.

The bus was en route to Clearmount Elementary School to pick up its first student of the day shortly after 8:15 a.m.
