Great Escape: Typography Exhibit at Kent State Stark

We know there are plenty of typography fans out there, so the perfect place to be this weekend is Kent State Stark for its typography art exhibit

This week's Great Escape is a word lover's dream.

Check out the Typographic Works Art Exhibit at Kent State University Stark Campus, where you'll find artwork by Matthew Tullis and Jeff Jensen. Just enter the Main Hall and head to the lower level gallery.

Organized by Jack McWhorter, the event runs from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. It ends April 1.

Too early for you on a Saturday? Try Kent Stark's Festival of the Arts, a family-friendly event showcasing Kent Stark Fine Arts students, which goes from 5 p.m. t0 8 p.m. Watch performances from theater, studio art, music, music technology, spoken word, jazz and studio ensembles.

Tickets are $10 for adults and non-students 9 years of age and older. Kent State Stark and Stark State College students are free with student ID. Children under 8 years of age are free.

Kent Stark is located at 6000 Frank Ave. NW, North Canton.
