Four Arrested After Hazel Artisan Bakery Break-in: Police Blotter
The following information was supplied by the North Canton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Someone called police and said he saw people stealing restaurant equipment and provided information about the suspects' vehicle as well as what direction they were heading after the break-in.
Police responded, found the vehicle and arrested all four occupants.
Suspects include a 24-year-old Sherrodsville man, 19-year-old Sherrodsville woman, 21-year-old Canton woman and 25-year-old Canton man. All were charged with receiving stolen property, a first-degree misdemeanor, and criminal trespassing, a fourth-degree misdemeanor.
They were found with four aluminum cooling racks, a 55-gallon trash can, a multi-keg of beer and empty cylinder of compressed gas. Items were valued at $500 altogether.
GPS, cash stolen from car on McKinley Avenue
A TomTom GPS and $10 cash was stolen from a car in the 500 block of McKinley Avenue SE between midnight and noon Sunday. Total loss is $160.
Medication taken from car on Liberty Lane
Someone stole prescription medications from a car in the 1000 block of Liberty Lane between midnight and 12:06 p.m. Sunday. Also listed as a stolen item on the police report was a bike. Total loss is $900.
Purse rifled through in ACME parking lot
A woman told police she came out of ACME, 1474 N. Main St., to find her trunk open, her purse overturned and its contents spilled throughout the trunk. She said $40 was stolen. The theft took place between noon and 12:45 p.m. June 18.
Items taken from home on Williman Street
Several items were stolen from a home in the 400 block of Williman Street June 18. Items include three suitcases, two alarm clocks, two computers from 1985, two umbrellas, a package of envelopes and a roll of stamps. Total loss is $1,335.
Dogwood Park target of vandalism
Vandals spray-painted the Dogwood Park pavilion, including its rafters, concrete base and three picnic tables, between 9 a.m. June 16 and 9 a.m. June 19. The vandals also disassembled one picnic table. Estimated damage is $1,000.
Car tire cut in 1100 block of North Main Street
Someone cut a hole in the sidewall of a tire of a car that was parked in the 1100 block of North Main Street between 4:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. June 21. Estimated damage is $200.
Car damaged on Beechwood Avenue NE
A resident in the 1700 block of Beechwood Avenue NE told police someone damaged the windshield of his car that was parked in a locked garage. The garage is attached to several others from the apartment complex, and access can be gained to his garage by climbing through the rafters. The damage took place between 11:20 p.m. June 16 and 5 a.m. June 17. Estimated damage is $500.
Wedding ring stolen from home
A woman in the 1400 block of East Maple Street told police someone took her mother's wedding band and engagement ring from her home between noon June 13 and 7:14 p.m. June 19. Estimated loss is $1,500.
Items stolen from home on 9th Street NE
Two cameras, $200 cash and a small cooler were stolen from a home in the 200 block of 9th Street NE between 8:30 p.m. June 16 and 6:30 a.m. June 17. Estimated loss is $370.
