North Canton police arrested a 17-year-old Plain Township boy who's suspected of stealing a running 2006 Ford pickup truck and crashing it into a yard.

The boy is charged with theft, a fourth-degree felony, driving under suspension and failure to control.

Police said the boy allegedly stole the truck from the 1300 block of New England St. SE at 6:50 a.m. Friday and crashed it into a yard a short distance away. No one was injured, and the truck was returned to its owner.

The boy was arrested about 9 a.m. the same day.
