Best Staycation Destinations: This Week's Readers' Choice
Where in North Canton do you go to have some fun on your days off?
For many of us, going on vacation doesn't necessarily mean taking a trip.
Going on vacation can simply mean chillin' at home -- going out to eat, doing some fun things in town and maybe getting a few household chores done.
We're so glad someone invented a name for this kind of non-travelin' vacation: The Staycation.
This week's Readers' Choice focuses on Best Staycation Destinations. Beginning today -- Monday, May 7 -- and through 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, we'll be asking for your recommendations for places to go while on a staycation.
Where to go on a staycation? A local putt-putt course ... the historical society ... a bowling alley ... the spa ... the video arcade. These are places where you can relax and have a little fun.
Give us your recommendation in the comments section below. With your help, we'll put together a list of nominees. Then look for our poll on Thursday, May 10 and vote! We'll select a winner at 5 p.m. Friday, May 11 and announce it in a story on Saturday, May 12.
In judging, we'll consider comments, poll votes and reviews in our complete directory of local businesses. Be sure to check out our contest rules in the PDF at right.

How about Rice's Nursery? Beautiful flowers, lovely displays, and a covered area to walk in case it rains.

Wish we could, Steve! We're shooting for places with a North Canton address, though.

How about Dogwood Pool to Swim/Slide/Dive, Price Park to play or feed the ducks, The Hair Shoppe & Spa for massages, hair, mani/pedis, etc, London's Candy Factory Tour, Fairways or Bob O Link to Golf, Walsh Chapel for a beautiful Mass or quiet prayer, Main Street Grill for entertainment & dinner, or Danny Boys for entertainment on the patio and drinks & Dinner?? I am sure I can come up with more like the Hoover House tour for history, or Fieldcrest for brunch, etc, etc.

We like to go bowl at Park Centre Lanes for a family fun. Also Price park is a great place for a picnic and to let the kids run off some energy.

Ditto on The Hair Shoppe and Spa, I love going over there for a massage and a mani/pedi!
If I want to go get my hair done I head over to Tony Donahue Hair Design for a color and cut with Amy & a blowout with Roger ...but I think they have a Canton address :(
I usually head over to Hazel's Bakery to indulge in coffee, breads & pastries.

You need to include the Hoover Park trail behind Washington Square and then Handel's for ice cream
