Become a Stark Parks Ranger Explorer, E-Reader Workshop & More: 5 Things to Know

1. Martin Luther King Jr. Day: We know of one school that's working hard to keep King's legacy alive — Walsh University. Many students are taking part today in the National Day of Service. Check out this announcement to learn more about what they'll today around the community.
2. Viking Victory Run meeting: Want to get involved in a great community fundraiser? Head to Greentown Elementary at 7 p.m. Tuesday for a meeting for volunteers of the Viking Victory Run. They'll cover the following topics: the couch-to-5k program, registration, fundraising and school kickoff. More info in this story.

Open house for career-minded teens: Hey, North Canton teens, here's something else happening Tuesday night: Stark Parks will recruit for its Ranger Explorer program for teens who enjoy being outdoors or who might like to pursue a career in park management or law enforcement. 4. E-Reader update at NCPL: Get a new e-Reader for Christmas and want to know how to use it to its full advantage? The North Canton Public Library has you covered. Join in a workshop at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and get up to speed with your new techy device.
