5 Things You Should Know About North Canton This Week

An interesting North Canton Heritage Society meeting, singing bowls and St. Patrick's Day make up this week's '5 things' list

1. Today is the last day to vote for North Canton Middle School and Hoover High School in Acer’s laptop challenge. Make sure to get your vote in not once, but multiple times with different e-mail addresses each time so the classes can win first and second place.

2. The North Canton Heritage Society's annual meeting is at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Charlotte Building, 200 Charlotte St. NW. The meeting will feature discussion about William C. Lowther, a 1940 graduate of NoCaHi, who was an engineer on a B-24 Liberator bomber in World War II.

3. Ever heard a bowl sing? No? Well, North Canton Public Library will keep you entertained with a lesson in the physics of sound waves at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Come see "the singing bowls."

4. North Canton City Council will meet at 7 p.m. tonight in North Canton City Hall. Find tonight’s agenda in the PDFs section of this update.

5. Thursday is St. Patrick’s Day. So keep your eye out for our Patch Picks, which comes out that day. We’ll tell you where the best places in the area are to celebrate with friends and family.
