Stark State to Hosts Info Session for Oil and Gas Floor Hand Training Sept. 6
Individuals interested in training to be a floor hand for the oil and gas industry should plan to attend an information session Thursday, Sept. 6 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. in room N102 at Stark State’s Corporate Services and Continuing Education Center, 265 East Maple St., North Canton. The information session will explain the training and hiring requirements for floor hand jobs.

In conjunction with ShaleNET, the College will offer a free floor hand training course Oct. 8 – 26 to those who qualify, based upon their attendance at the Sept. 6 information session. Persons interested in the course must attend this information session to be eligible for the course. Floor hands operate well drilling and service rigs, assist in the connection and disconnection of pipes and do general maintenance.
