Matthew D. Ransom, 40, of North Canton, a force protection officer with Triple Canopy in Kuwait, who died Sept. 7, had been deployed with the Army National Guard to Avion Air Force Base in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2004 and to Mississippi following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Services were held at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, Mich.
