LOCAL FITNESS COMPETITOR WINS BIG AT NPC TEAM UNIVERSE COMPETITION!

Ashley Kaltwasser, former Coventry H.S. and college track standout, has taken the world of bikini fitness competition by storm over the past year.

Kaltwasser, who resides in Akron, took both first place in class D and was named the Overall Bikini Champion at the NPC Team Universe competition, held earlier this month in Teaneck, NJ.  She not only took home the overall prize, but also earned her pro card, which was a goal she had worked toward for months.  In addition, Kaltwasser received an automatic invitation to the 2013 Arnold International, and plans to compete in this prestigious invitation-only event in March of next year.  She also signed with Fitness Management Group (FMG), which represents top athletes in fitness, figure, and bikini.

Earlier this year, Kaltwasser took both first place in Class D and won the Overall Arnold Amateur Bikini competition, and was also named the winner of the Rockstar Bikini competition.  She has also won or placed at various local fitness competitions throughout the past year.

Kaltwasser trains at Summer’s Fitness 24/7 at 8050 Frank Ave. NW in North Canton, under the direction of Summer Montabone, CSCS IFBB Fitness Pro.  Says Kaltwasser, “Summer has been an incredible motivator and trainer, encouraging and supporting me along this journey.”   Kaltwasser will move forward in her bikini fitness career by continuing to train at SF 24/7 and competing on the pro circuit. “I am beyond grateful that I have accomplished these extraordinary goals.  It makes the blood, sweat, and tears worthwhile.  My new goal is to place well at an IFBB pro show.”
