Hoover High School Chess Club Takes First in Tournament
The Canton Chess Club again showed their skill by taking first place at the Canton Scholastic Chess League Tournament that took place Saturday at the Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy.
Mitch Fabian took first place in the individual scoring with four wins.
James Vaughn also had four wins and took second place in the individual scoring.
Sean Griswald and Tony Pratt won three matches each and placed sixth and seventh respectively.
TJ Partridge, Daniel Stewart, Nick Cammel and Jacob Hart also added to the Hoover effort.
This is the third tournament that Hoover has taken first place. Congratulations on a job well done.
